Fat freezing (medically known as cryolipolysis) has become an incredibly popular non-invasive treatment to get rid of stubborn pockets of fat on the body. While most people associate it with CoolsSculpting, there is another treatment type that works in a similar way without some of the risks, known as Cryoskin. So, what is Cryoskin and what can you expect from the treatment?

What Is Cryolipolysis?

Before we get into the specifics on Cryoskin, it is important to understand how cryolipolysis works. Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive treatment that utilizes a cooling energy to remove fat and help contour the body. The FDA approved CoolSculpting, a device that breaks down and crystallizes fat through cryolipolysis in 2010 and the treatment has steadily grown in popularity since. While Cryoskin works in a similar way, the device has not been FDA approved.

What Is Cryoskin?

Cryoskin is a cutting-edge non-invasive technology that harnesses the power of cold temperatures to slim, tone, and smooth the skin of the face and body with clinically proven results. The device offers three treatment types including CryoSlimming®, CryoToning®, and CryoFacial on one platform that gives the practitioner the ability to customize treatments. Cryoskin’s innovative technology uses the Peltier Effect for all its treatments, which gives Cryoskin precise temperature control to create the perfect conditions to reduce fat and increase collagen and elastin without damaging the surrounding tissue.

CryoSlimming® aids in the reduction of body fat. In a 2018 clinical study on CryoSlimming®, patients experienced, on average, a 1.85-inch reduction in the waistline, with an 18.96% reduction in subcutaneous fat after 5 sessions. Each treatment lasts on average 25-40 minutes per session and the skin is first warmed then rapidly cooled. Results are immediate but 5+ sessions are suggested to see the full results. Maintenance appointments should be scheduled periodically to maintain the results. Slimming treatments can be scheduled 14 days apart since it takes two weeks or so for the body to naturally excrete the dead fat cells.

CryoToning improves the skin’s appearance and texture on various areas of the body. Cold temperatures widen the blood vessels and increase oxygen supply, which helps stimulate collagen production and breaks down cellulite, leaving the skin smooth, dimple free skin. Treatments take about a half an hour to complete and deliver instant results, although a series of treatments may be needed to achieve desired results. Maintenance appointments should be scheduled periodically to maintain the results. Toning treatments require 3-7 days before a subsequent appointment.

CryoFacial reduces fine lines and wrinkles on the face and neck—each of which utilizes the application warmth then rapidly cooled to help achieve the desired results. The treatment typically takes 20 minutes and will deliver instant results, but several sessions may be needed to achieve the desired results.

How Long Do The Results Last?

As we mentioned above, results are generally visible from the first session. However, it should be noted that the best results appear from 14 days to 3 weeks after the start of treatment and extend for several months after the end of treatment. Results will vary depending on the treatment and the individual’s lifestyle and diet. While the fat loss is permanent, clients may still gain fat back in the treatment areas if they do not maintain a balanced lifestyle that includes a healthy diet and exercise.

Cryoskin offers a cutting-edge treatment platform that offers three treatment types including CryoSlimming®, CryoToning®, and CryoFacial all of which use precise cold temperatures to destroy fat cells and naturally stimulate the body to create more collagen and elastin. This painless non-invasive treatment is not only effective, it delivers immediate results that are accumulative with a series of treatments. Results can be maintained with regular maintenance appointments a few times a year.
